Mulberry Fruits

My mulberry plant has produced more fruits since I pruned it. As I was away, many of the fruits dropped off. Fortunately, I am still able to collect some remaining fruits.

These are the ripe mulberry fruits that I plucked. I will keep the fruits in the freezer until I have enough to make jam.

I have also dried the leaves to make mulberry tea. The tea is believed to help lower cholesterol. It is simple to make the tea. Just pour hot boiling water over the dried leaves and consume it.

Hi all,

I got one of my mulberry plants from the Bandar Harapan Organic Farm in Ara Damansara. You can contact Ivan Ho at 019-3751382 or Saktivelu at 012-3331341 or visit their website on how to get to the farm: http://www.bandarharapan.org/bandarharapan/location_map.html

Or try to contact Danny (Mobile: 016-2785961) who has a plant booth on Sundays at Amcorp Mall. Ask him if he has this plant. He sells many kind of herbs at his booth.

If you know anyone with a big mulberry tree, ask for a small stem cutting. All you have to do is to put it in soil and water daily. Leaves will sprout very quickly.

Do you need to put fertilizer for the Mulberry tree?

J.C. said...

Jess, yes I do feed my Mulberry plant with fertilizer. I also trim them often to encourage more growth and at the same time it will bear many fruits after trimming.
