I'm new to your blog and I look forward to reading your posts. I love pink too! Your garden is so beautiful. I have many pink flowers photos in the past, I guess I'm just girly. Pink and purple are my favorites. Have a great day!

Gorgeous hydrangea!

James - the flower of the hydrangea is blue or pink depending on the acidity of the soil.

JC, the hydrangea blooms are gorgeous!! Your pink is superb. I hard pruned mine due to infestation of a type of scale insect. Nonetheless, enjoy the countdown and happy New Year to you and your family :-D

Hi James, the colour of the Hydrangea bloom is indeed dependent on the acidity of the soil, as Ting said.

If the soil is acidic, it will be purplish blue bloom. If alkaline soil, then it will be pink.

I got the cutting of this hydrangea from my friend and her blooms are purplish blue. She was amazed when she saw my pink bloom.
